Our Story

From One Van to
a National Network

SwiftFix was founded in 2014 by James Hartley, a certified plumber from Sheffield who was frustrated by the unreliability and lack of transparency in the home services industry. He believed customers deserved better: clear pricing, reliable arrivals, and guaranteed workmanship.

Starting with just himself and one apprentice, James built a small local team with a shared commitment to doing things properly. Word spread quickly. Within two years, SwiftFix had expanded across Yorkshire, then the Midlands, and by 2019 had a presence in 12 major UK cities.

Today, SwiftFix is one of the UK's leading home services platforms, connecting over 800 certified tradespeople with homeowners and landlords nationwide.
